Time Video

https://youtu.be/IkDURFzU8F4
I wasn't able to share the video on an iPad so I posted the link.

I really enjoyed working with my group to create the time scene because we all had amazing ideas. Our group split in two because we had to things going on at once.

The Box!

In the making of the box we came across a few challenges because we kept changing the story of the scene so it made the whole thing harder for us. I really enjoyed working with my group because they came up with a lot of great ideas.

Orpheus and Eurydice performance

Although I wasn't there on the day to present the play with my group, I helped direct it. Working with this group was a little bit difficult because as a group we came across lots of difficulties. We decided to change the theme of the story to a gangster theme. I personally think that changing the theme would have been a whole lot easier because we all got to choose it and we knew what we would do. If we suck to the original story it would have been harder because the whole thing was new to us unlike coming up with our own.

4 sentences:
He was son of a muse mother and a muse father, he was very gifted in music.
He married a girl, but she falls in a hole and dies.
He charmed the underworld guards and got in to get his wife back.
He looks back (when he's not allowed to) and gets stuck in, his bins get thrown around and he dies.

In this drama lesson we had to perform a scene. What i found the hardest was the unison, i found it the hardest because we kept mixing up the steps and the directions. My favorite part was when the prince killed the two men.

Reflection

Atls
Communication
Affective skills
Reflective

Self-Management
Organization Skills

How did you demonstrate organization skills?
I demonstrate my organization skills by making sure my blog is always up to date and is always clear. I will try to make my organization skills better in drama
Affective Skills
How did you manage your own behaviour?
I managed my own behavior by making sure I'm always listening in class and copying all the notes I need to have.

Reflection Skills
How did you use reflective skills to improve your work during the unit?
I used my reflective skills to improve on my work by checking my blog over and over again to make sure everything I've done is good. I also filmed myself playing the different themes just to make sure I did it correct and also listening to others play the themes to be positive that I played them correct.

A: Knowing & Understanding
• Explain what knowledge & Understanding you have gained during the unit.

• Can you explain what you have been learning about during your Arts rotation?

• Have you learnt any new arts language and terminology?

During the whole unit I have learnt how to play different notes on the piano. I gained a lot of knowledge about the instruments in the 4 families which are: the woodwind family, the brass family, the orchestra and the string family. I have learnt how to read the stave easier by using every good boy deserves football.

• Have you learnt a critical thinking process for your rotation, explain it.

• Have you learnt about the historical/cultural context of your art form?

B: Developing Skills
• Explain which Arts skills you have acquired and developed during the unit?

• How did you use apply these new skills and techniques to create, perform and/or present art?
Learning the stave helped me with the 3 pitch test we had to take. Filming Miss Cross play the themes on the piano helped me play them myself. I developed my listening skills because in music Miss cross talked a lot about what we had to play on the piano so it helped my improve.

C: Thinking Creatively
• Explain what your artistic intention was, why did you make this art form what was its function and purpose?

• Can you explain if you considered your work from an alternative perspective, i.e., the impact on the audience/or developed your work to communicate a focused message

• How did you demonstrate the exploration of ideas during the unit?
I demonstrated everything I learned in this unit by posting all my work on my blog so I have evidence I

D: Responding
• Evaluate and assess your artistic response during the unit.

• Does your work demonstrated a movement/genre/theme/concept and how?

1. What could you do to improve your performance in this rotation?

2. What areas of improvement do you need to focus on?

3. How could you improve your learning experience in the next rotation?

Hunters Mixcraft theme & Reflection

Reflection

It was relatively easy to do the  hunters theme because we already knew how to do it because
we did the peter's theme and wolfs theme and all we had to do was follow the same steps we used before to help us with the peter's theme. At the beginning we found it hard to find the video that had no audio but when we asked for help from Isabella, she managed to help us figure things out.

Mixcraft Video and reflection Peters Theme

This was pretty easy because i followed my stupids guide to mixcraft pretty well.
Miss also demonstrated to us how to mixcraft and upload, speed up, slow down and cut off your video. We found the video but without the music then we recorded our self doing the peters theme
then it took us about 4 tries to get it right and eventually we did it properly. after that we speed it up and also slower it. till the video and the music matched. after that we chose the instrument we had to
use for the music which made the piano sound like a different instrument. after the video was complete we then had to go online and convert the video onto a wmv. then we were meant to post this on our blogs.

Instruments of the orchestra

What are the 4 main instrumental families of the orchestra?
§String family
§The woodwind family
§The brass family
§The percussion family

How are the instruments played?
§String family: It is normally played by drawing the bow across the instrument.
§Woodwind family: blowing air through the mouthpiece and by closing and opening the wholes with your fingers
§Brass family: you vibrate your own lips by buzzing them against a metal
§percussion family: you hit it and it makes noises.

What materials are they made from:

§String family is made from different kinds of wood
§Some of the woodwind family is made from wood, metal, plastic, or some combination
§The brass family is made from wood
§The percussion family is made from wood and metal

The Djembe Drum
The djembe drum is part of the percussion family. The djembe drum is made in North Africa r in the Middle East out of clay, wood or metal. The head of the drum ( or the skin)  is normally made out of animal skin but nowadays it's made out of plastic so when you hit it it makes that ' smack sound'. You can play the djembe drum siting or standing up but usually it's played sitting down.

MYP IdentityThrough Music

My name is Erietta Tsangaris and i am year 7BB. This is my MYP  Arts Process Journal. On this blog you will find documented evidence of my learning through The Arts: Art Drama Music. This term i am starting my learning journey in Music. My strongest Arts subject is Art, i want to develop my skills in music and drama.

Key Concept: Communication & Identity
Related Concept: Expression
Global Context: Identities & relationships; Personal & Cultural Expression
Statement of Inquiry: The process of artistic creation can lead to self-discovery.

Inquiry Questions: (Factual) What elements can be identified as specific to a characteristic/personality? (Conceptual) To what extent does the identity of the artist impact on the artwork? (Debatable) Is everyone an artist? Can I represent myself through music? How do different cultures represent themselves through music?
